Let's Talk About Writing

Programming: Writing Advice

Okay fellas. Let me bring you up to speed on things: writing is confusing. There are characters and dialogue and dramatic irony and scene visualization... you get it: the list goes on and on. Even the professionals don't know where to begin. Now that's where I come in. Critics, such as myself, help authors improve and reach out to their readers with brand spanking new stories.

Join Admujica every Friday night at 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central Daylight Time for a three hour Q&A on everything writing or FiM Fiction! Check out the time and group hosting line up below!

Questions to Ask

You are welcome to ask anything you would like! If you are still confused, we suggest taking a look at these recommendations.
  • General writing advice is what we're here for! If you are having trouble writing a character, plot or scene, this is your place to ask!
  • Critic suggestions are something we are always willing to answer. Our panel of reviewers and writers always have things they look for in stories!
  • Community and publicity questions! We always try to look for panelist that have been in the business for a while! They will gladly answer questions on how to get your story known and where to do it.
Things to Keep in Mind When Asking Questions

Our crew is not adamant to make you follow these rules, but we consider them common courtesy to keep the thread friendly and welcoming. Not to mention we don't want to get in trouble with the group hosting it. Make Let's Talk enjoyable for everyone: just follow these simple rules!
  • Follow all guidelines and rules of the group hosting Let's Talk. Let's Talk doesn't stick to one group because we want to reach out to as many writers as possible. Each episode is hosted by a different group with different rules and guidelines set forth by said group. We are there because the group trusts us and the audience to keep things under control. While our panelists will warn you, the group and its administration have every right to enforce their regulations as they deem appropriate.
Note: We can't say how important it is to follow this rule. If Let's Talk wants to keep visiting more than one or two groups, we need your help to build a healthy relationship with their administrations. Thank you!
  • Please be respectful with our panelists and moderators. The panelists are invited because we think they have the experience and knowledge to give good advice. While some may come and go, our main goal is to help you! We can only ask that you are respectful when addressing them or discussing an answer with them.
  • Keep the thread family-friendly. We don't mind the occasional cursing, but please do it with a light-heart. If one of the moderators sees you cursing/posting inappropriate images in excess, we will ask you to remove those posts or, depending on the severity, ask you to leave the discussion.
Note: One of our moderators may ask you to only leave, but as mentioned before, groups usually have rules against use of profanity and they may chose to take measures to enforce it as well.
